Cookies and analytics preferences
Manage optional Google Analytics cookies and understand the necessary storage used by SCC Land Registry.
Your choice comes first
Our interactive information pages work without Google Analytics. On your first visit you can reject or accept optional analytics on equal terms. Nothing requires you to accept to view postcode prices or the methodology. Use the Cookie settings control in the footer of any page to change your selection.
Necessary preference storage
We use a local browser storage entry called scc_landregistry_analytics_v1 solely to remember your accepted or rejected preference and its date, for up to 180 days. This local setting is not sent to Google when analytics is rejected. Browsers can also retain ordinary technical cache necessary for page performance. Our server may keep ordinary access and security logs.
Optional Google Analytics 4
After you actively select Accept analytics, this website loads Google's gtag.js for the GA4 measurement ID G-43RSRP8QE1. Google may then set analytics-related cookies such as _ga and _ga_* and receive page-view/device information. We set a six-month cookie expiry preference; browser and provider settings can cause different lifetimes. There are no Google Analytics requests or cookies from this integration before your acceptance.
Withdrawal and external services
When you reject analytics, our site records that preference, sends a denied consent update if the Google tag was previously loaded, attempts to remove relevant first-party GA cookies and reloads the page so the external tag is no longer loaded. Some previously transmitted data cannot be recalled from your browser. Visiting separate third-party websites through links on this site is subject to their own notices.
